Zoya Bloom Swatches and Review

Press Pattern

Well, it was the last thing on my sample pile, but then I never posted it. I have been very supported with my PhD but I still enjoy painting my nails but at my own pace. And since this is technically still spring, I have no problem sharing this now even though I’ve had this collection since the end of March lol. The colors are definitely suitable for summer, so if you haven’t picked them up yet, you still have time to wear them. And yes, the summer collection is right in front of me.

Fleur: 2 coats plus top coat. A fun, classic spring pink creme. Nice formula, but nothing revolutionary as far as the shade of pink goes. As it says in the description, it is a classic pink color. The topcoat didn’t really add any extra shine as a note.

Phoebe: 2 coats. (New Color – Returned Name) Mid-tone Watermelon Creme. Well balanced between red, pink and coral tones. I’m not sure why they renamed this to a completely different color that is so different but has the same name. I sent them a list of names that I would like them to call varnishes so that they don’t have a shortage. The old color was part of the Mods collection from 2012. It’s a light rose pink and has more red undertones than Fleur. It dries a bit matte so it definitely needs a top coat for shine.

Zaria: 2 coats. Deep spring pink creme.. Yes, another pink. While I understand their market, this collection has three cream pinks and April’s color of the month was also pink. These colors would make a beautiful ombre manicure or a gradient on the nail, but it’s just a lot of pink. This one has a great formula, but I knew it would completely stain my nails, and it did. Nothing a lint wipe couldn’t remove, but I just knew it would leave stains. Even colors like this that have red undertones always show the nail line, so I don’t bother doing a third coat because that line will still be there.

Hyacinth: 3 coats plus top coat. A sweet yet soft candy pink, with microfine holographic, pink and white glitter. This one should really be layered for people who have long nails like I currently have because you can clearly see the nail line. I would probably do two coats over one coat of Zoya Candy which was the color of the month. I appreciate their risk in this conclusion. Personally, I prefer when these types of colors are used as a gradient in nail art because it really is nail art. I wouldn’t want to remove it.

Rhiannon: 2 coats plus top coat. Vibrant icy blue with microfine holographic, blue and white glitter. This one is my favorite of the three and as I keep saying, I will definitely be wearing it in layers. Maybe June’s color of the month will be neon blue (where’s that color – it’s the middle of June!) because that seems to be their trend right now. This one reminds me of the ocean and is really nice for summer even though it’s a spring collection.

I have the summer collection here and ready to go, but you can probably expect that later in the month or early July.
