Summer Abstract Nail Art

Hey now! I’ve been doing summer nail art but I feel sooo ready to move on to Halloween. I told Mr. Ehmkay that I would be switching out our mugs to Halloween mugs this week and I think I will be decorating September 1. But first, some fun and bright nail art.

So this is another look from Pinterest, and this one actually had a watermark! It was inspired by Taryns_nails on IG but it must be a super old look. I think the color combo is what I loved the most and I spent too long finding similar colors but I love how this came out. 

I started this look with one thin coat of KBShimmer White Here White Now just so I wouldn’t have to paint multiple coats of the other colors. I then used the white creme to outline the lines to make spaces for the colors.

• Orange: Dare to Wear Chamomile with Zoya Bohdi
• Green: Zoya Capri with Zoya Eleni
• Darker pink: Zoya Brinkley with Zoya Candy 
• Lighter pink: Zoya Jordan with Zoya Yohanna

 

Now, the original look did only 2 or 3 colors on each nail. I had intended to do that but instead did lol four colors on every single nail lol. This look took about 45 minutes after I put on the white base. I bet it would take way less time if you did only two to three colors but I just loved how these looked together! 

Here are photos inside. It is still bright and fun. I used tons of Zoyas from the new summer colors, but most are older colors they repackaged for this summer collection. I tried to used all Zoyas but nothing fit the right yellowy orange like the Dare to Wear did. 

 I love this for summer. I may do one or two more summery looks before I move on to Halloween. I always find I start Halloween too late and then have no time to do a Halloween look.
